No Bean Texas Chili

Directions

  1. In a large pot or dutch oven over medium heat, begin to brown the ground beef. Add in the onions and pepper. Saute until beef is browned and onion and pepper are tender.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 20 minutes up to and hour to allow the flavors to meld together.

  3. Serve over corn chips, with a side of corn bread, top with cheese and sour cream or simply enjoy as is! Remove the bay leaf before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 1 small bell pepper, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 TBS chili powder

  • 2 tsp each: ground cumin, smoked paprika, dried oregano

  • 2 TBS tomato paste

  • 1 cup lagar beer or beef broth

  • 1 8-oz can tomato sauce

  • 1 1/2 tsp Worchestershire Sauce

  • 1 bay leaf
