Beef & Broccoli
Directions
In a large bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water. Add the beef and toss to combine.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, ground ginger, and minced garlic.
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the beef. Cook in a single layer until the first side is cooked and slightly crispy, flip each piece over and cook the second side.
Once all meat has been thoroughly cooked, transfer to a plate to set aside.
Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the pan and once hot, add in the broccoli florets. Cook, stirring occasionally, until broccoli is tender.
Return the beef to the pan and add the prepared sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute until the sauce begins to thicken.
Serve with rice or noodles.
*Tip: If your beef is already frozen, allow it to thaw until it still has a firm structure to it but not completely thawed out. This will allow an easier experience cutting the meat into thin strips.
If your beef is fresh, simply place it in the freezer for 20 minutes to allow it to firm up slightly.
